We are a friendly, inclusive department that supports students identified as exceptional to become the best learners they can be. Identified students are encouraged to take Learning Strategies courses to build confidence and motivation to pursue opportunities for success in secondary school and beyond. Students are empowered to gain a deeper understanding of their educational needs so that they will be able to take the skills and knowledge they have learned and apply it to their daily lives. Students regularly have an opportunity to employ different modes of technology and engage in group work, though the classroom construction also supports quiet, independent study.
