Please also take note of the following as per the memo sent out December 19, 2025:

Examination Schedule

If you are absent for an exam and do not provide documentation (i.e. see “Examinations missed due to illness” section below), you will receive a mark of zero (0) for the exam.  Final examinations will NOT be rescheduled to accommodate alternate activities which conflict with the timing of exams (ie. vacations, employment commitments, appointments, etc.)

* Kindly note that Period 5 exams are scheduled for Monday, January 26. Exams for Periods 3 and 4 will occur after the Period 5 exams.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather that causes school buses to be cancelled, that day’s exams will be written on Thursday January 29, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Examinations missed due to illness

If you miss an examination due to illness, you must present a medical note to the Vice-Principal by 9:30 a.m. on the day immediately following the exam.  The medical note must clearly indicate that “[Your name] was not able to write the exam on [the date of the exam] at [the time of the exam] due to [indicate reason].”  If you miss an exam for another reason (i.e. bereavement), you must provide supporting documentation.  Students who do not present documentation supporting the absence will receive a mark of zero (0) on the exam.

Please reach out anytime you have questions or concerns.

Students in Grades 5–12 can help choose the student trustees who will represent their voice at the school board.

From January 12-18, students can vote for the student trustee candidate who will represent our area in the final election taking place February 17-20. Voting closes January 18, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.

How to Vote

Students will receive an email in their GAPPS account with:

  • A link to candidate information
  • A voting form

Please remind your child to check their email and submit their vote.

Student Trustees

Student trustees play an important role representing students in the school board. They network with students, staff and the Board of Trustees to share information that gives students a meaningful voice. Learn more about the role and the election process at www.yrdsb.ca/studenttrustees
